My grandfather made a remark about this island right when we landed: “Jeju-do is filled with women, strong winds, and stones”. Most trees have stunted in growth by constant wind force, and volcanic rocks coated the island in prayer towers. Then my grandmother told me about the abundance of dol-hareubang. A stone statue symbolizing fertility reigned the island.

Here are four brilliant sceneries from Jeju Island, and Salt & Stone’s iconic Bergamot & Hinoki Body Mist to accompany your summer memories.
Yongmeori Coast
Take a group yacht up to Yongmeori Coast, where they say keeping a photo of the dragon’s mouth by the cliff will bring fortune to you. Fishermen line themselves along the coast throughout the day, and you can even go speedboating along the coastline. Pictured in the cover photo.
Camellia Hill

Vibrant aunties and uncles stroll through the garden often in groups, and they’re just as bright as the camellias and hydrangeas. Darling cafes feature hallabong lattes, and you can’t forget about the gift shops when you’re in Jeju.
Hamdeok Beach

This family-friendly beach boasts clear waters and a speedboating zone. Not far from the waters, aesthetic cafes populate the coastline.
Achim Haneul

This restaurant features few quality menus. One that caught my eye was the set that is prepared solely by the owner who greeted us merrily in the summer heat.
Fragrance
Heavily reminiscent of summer, I ran headfirst into Salt & Stone’s Body Mist. The deep tang of Hinoki sharpened memories of Jeju’s coastline, and the Bergamot nonetheless reminded me of the seaside markets dotted in oranges.
