Golden Hour

Idyllic seaside in the south of France.

Known for its vibrant artistic heritage, Collioure is a masterpiece on its own. The orange hues beat off the stone paths, and the meridian blue sea glitters under the blistering sun. The heavy waft of espresso from cafes blend into the smoky cement.

After a sparkling trip to Barcelona, a drive north to Collioure offered an ideally quiet getaway from the city. Except there was nothing too quiet about Collioure, because it boasted stunning waters and evergreen terrain dotted in terracotta roofs.

If color could explode and rearrange itself on a cosmic level, this is what it would look like. Slow coffee afternoons on Sunday and long walks along the Mediterranean Coast. Red maraschino cherries and pineapple gelato. Wet ice cream cones and singing bowls and stone castles.

Sun glare on gift shop windows and fluffy cappuccinos, I didn’t need anything else on a Sunday afternoon than one spent in Collioure. Catalan and French floated in tunes all around me, weaving through stone beads and tiny silver forks.

Fragrance

On another note, Josie Maran’s Golden Hour Fragrance Mist is reminiscent of those hazy summer days by the beach. Just like Collioure.
